At Arafah Islamic Seminary Pre and Primary School, student evaluation is comprehensive and continuous, designed to support learning and ensure academic excellence.

Types of Assessments

  • Classwork: Daily exercises and participation
  • Homework: Regular assignments for practice
  • Midterm Tests: Periodic examinations during terms
  • Final Exams: Comprehensive end-of-term assessments
  • Practicals: Hands-on activities and projects

Grading System (Lower School)

Continuous Assessment (CA)

Continuous Assessment (CA) is an integral part of the learning process, contributing 40% to the final grade. It includes regular tests, quizzes, assignments, and class participation.

National Examination (NECTA)

The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) administers national exams at key stages. These exams are vital for certification and contribute 60% to the final grade.

Promotion & Repetition Policy

Students must achieve a minimum grade of C to be promoted to the next class. Those who fail to meet this requirement may repeat the year to improve performance.
